Human Heart Nature Natural Body Wash details
The Human Heart Nature Natural Body Wash is a mild wash that effectively cleanses away dirt and grime while being gentle on the skin. It is free from SLS/SLES, paraben and synthetic fragrances. It is available in two scents: Sweet Orange and Gentle Berry.

My Take
We've had another merciless dry season, with the unrelenting hot temperature and humid air. Think of this, as early as 10:00 am at the office, I am already imagining going home and heading straight to the bath to wash off the stickiness. In truth, I can only have another bath after a long day's work and the simple process felt like cleansing my soul. No, actually it was heaven on earth. 😂

I wanted to elevate my experience while taking my evening baths and that is how I started missing Human Heart Nature. I wanted to have something that smells really nice and to me, HHN products always smell good in a non-synthetic way. I've been an HHN fan for a long time but it's been a while since my last purchase so I decided to order some over Shopee. Moreover, I also noticed that taking multiple baths in a day using soap has started to take a toll on my skin. I could feel that it was making me dry so I knew that I needed something mild and HHN fits the bill.

I was so excited when my package arrived that I couldn't wait to take a bath. 😆 And because of this product, my quick bath took twice the usual time. You know why? Well, I spent a great amount of time just sniffing the symphony of fruity scents coming right off the bottle. The body wash comes in a transparent gel form and it lathers well - but not in a big bubble type of way. Just small suds but I can feel how well it cleanses my skin. I took the time to massage the whole stuff all over my body to make me feel relaxed. When it came to washing off I 'm glad that there is no sticky or greasy after-feel. Above all, my skin felt clean but it didn't feel dry. Clean ingredients and clean feeling for the win! ✔️✔️

My Take
I will admit that this product has taken a back seat for the last year. I literally forgot about it. However, the recent news related to the Dengvaxia Vaccine has put me on my toes and even though the said vaccine has never been introduced in the Visayas, I want me and my family to be free from mosquito bites, as much as possible.

Our home is not particularly overpopulated by mosquitoes but there was a time when there were one too many and I was having a hard time sleeping. I actually remembered that I had this is my stash and decided to apply it. The packaging said that you have to reapply it every 2 to 4 hours but I never got to reapplying it. You know why? It's because I slept so soundly after applying it. It really kept the bugs away.

The creamy lotion doesn't feel heavy when applied. It just has a little hint of oiliness, which keeps the skin from feeling dry. If there's a downside to this product, it's that it has a really strong scent. It's really fragrant, sharply sweet and a bit tangy, must be because of the mixture of natural oils. Well, if the scent is what's keeping the bugs away, thank you very much, I will take the smell over the bites, itchiness or worse, Dengue.

Am also glad that it's 100% natural and free of harmful ingredients.

XO,

It's that time of the month again, when I give myself the proverbial pat in the back for emptying all of these products simply because: waste not, want not. :)

Human Nature Balancing Facial Wash & Human Nature Balancing Face Toner
I bought this pair in the middle of May and it took me roughly four months to consume them both. These two make up one of my favorite wash-toner combos. Now that I've emptied them I will try other brands but no matter how far I stray they will remain among my dependable ones. They are specially designed for oily skin so they are a boon to my existence.

SkinWhite Naturals Whitening Lotion Papaya Milk
Finally consumed the entire bottle. I didn't like the formula though, it was too runny and felt greasy on the skin.

XO,
Carissa
I discovered Human Heart Nature online in 2015. Since then I have availed myself of a dealer membership, although it is just for personal use. It allows me to shop through their site at discounted rates. Needless to say, I have shopped countless times at www.humanheartnature.com and I have tried a handful of their products. I have also made some reviews about 'em; I guess Human Heart Nature is all over my blog. Today I will be sharing a quick review of some Human Heart Nature products that I've tried. Come have a look.

HUMAN  HEART NATURE PERFECT COVERAGE MINERAL FOUNDATION IN HONEY
Refill Only Regular Price: Php 295.00
The Human Heart Nature Perfect Coverage Mineral Foundation in Honey looks too yellow on the pan but is a great match when applied to my medium skin with yellow undertones. The powder is finely milled and does not appear chalky on my skin. It gives a medium coverage only though, so you would still need a concealer for those blemishes. It is fragrance-free, didn't cause any breakouts on my skin and I am happy about how it kept me looking fresh throughout the day. One glitch that I encountered about this product was that it was easily broken, something that I also experienced with the Human Heart Nature Perfect Glow Mineral Blush, and it's because they only use natural binders. But being economical that I am, I used it to the very last bit, just in a loose powder form. I put it on an old Palgantong Powder container and voila, I was good to go!

HUMAN HEART NATURE 100% NATURAL SUNFLOWER BEAUTY OIL
Regular Price: Php 174.75 for 50 ml
Ingredients list and other details on the label.
The 100% Natural Sunflower Beauty Oil has many uses - 23 to be exact, according to their website. I know that sunflower oil is good for lightening scars and dark spots but it should be applied religiously in order to achieve any conceivable results, and I am such a failure at that. Haha. I'll just make a comment on how great it is as an alternative to a body lotion because it's good in keeping the skin moisturized and looking supple. I have also used it as a mascara remover and it's great that it can also nourish the eyelashes. It smells like oil, no other fragrance was added, according to the ingredients list. I use it sparingly on the face though, because it is made of oil and it can feel heavy and greasy on the face.

HUMAN HEART NATURE 100% NATURAL NIGHT MOISTURIZER
Regular Price: Php 174.75 for 50 ml
Ingredients//On my hand
I think the 100% Natural Night Moisturizer is one of my favorites from Human Heart Nature. It just makes my skin glow in the morning. My skin is naturally oily and  I know that I should be careful around products that contain oils. *How do I tell that this one has oils? Well, if the skin feels warm after application, it is most likely that the product contains oil because oil traps heat on the skin.* But at least I know that its the good kind of oils or ingredients...no mineral oil, silicone, parabens, etc. I love how my skin feels so nourished when I put this on.

HUMAN HEART NATURE 100% NATURAL HEALTHY LOTION - ORANGE SUNRISE
Regular Price: Php 199.75 for 200 ml
Packed with goodness
Ingredients and deets
The Human Heart Nature 100% Natural Healthy Lotion is really packed to the punch with goodness! It is formulated with "12 nutrients and antioxidants from coconut, aloe vera, soybean, sunflower and avocado oils". You can read all the deets on the label. As of this date, it has four variants - Orange Sunrise, Powder Love, Blossom Beauty and Berry Bliss. I have yet to try Powder Love and I think of the three that I've tried, Berry Bliss is my favorite. It smells like fruits. This one in particular, the Orange Sunrise, smells tangy, obviously! Haha. I love how it is not sticky and that it gets easily absorbed by the skin. Human Heart Nature promotes the "Morena and Proud" so there aren't any whitening properties on this lotion and I'm cool with that.

 ***
Human Heart Nature's philosophy is Pro-Poor, Pro-Environment and Pro-Philippines. I'm glad that with every single purchase that I make, I am able to help those three aspects. A little help goes a long way. Check out Human Heart Nature's website at www.humanheartnature.com for more info.

XO,

Carissa
I grabbed this lippie a long time ago. Honestly I can't remember when, LOL. So I guess it's about time that I make a review. These photos were also taken using my camera phone waaaaaaaay back so the quality isn't that good. Apologies for that. But anyway, hewego!

Product Name/Shade: Human Heart Nature Mineral ColorCreme Lipstick in Passion Candy
Regular Price: Php 325.00// Member Price: Php 276.25
Where I Got It: www.humanheartnature.com

Vivid color. Luscious moisture. One rich lipstick.

Time to let your natural beauty dazzle with this luxurious fusion of cocoa butter, sunflower seed oil, passion fruit seed oil, and natural vitamin E that melts onto your lips for an exquisite, creamy glide.

The other colors in this ColorCreme line. Photo taken from www.humanheartnature.com
My Take
I've been trying out different Human Heart Nature products and of course, being the makeup junkie that I am, I also checked out their Mineral Makeup line. I had six color choices for the lipsticks and since I was looking for an MLBB (My Lips But Better) type, I opted not to choose the Lucky In Love (Red Brown), Crimson Glaze (Brick Red) and Pink Smoothie (Light Pink). I am also slightly averse to coral-ly colors so that left me with the Rose Mauve color which is named Passion Candy.

The lip bullet is of slim type, reminiscent of a Wet n Wild Matte Lip Cover, but in my opinion is packaged sturdier and the cover isn't made of acrylic. I like the packaging because it looks classy and closes to a snap so there won't be any bag incident where the cover would come off.

I bet you can see on the shape of the lip bullet is slim and cylindrical with a slightly diagonal tip. I have a hard time applying it directly from the tube because it can't seem to get it around the shape of my lips so I always use a lip brush in applying this. I also use my fingertips in applying this for a more natural effect.

If I were to describe the smell of this one, I think it smells a bit like milk and oatmeal; nothing overwhelming so it's one thing I love about this lippie. The name is ColorCreme so it's really creamy in texture, maybe a bit sticky but not to a bothersome level. It glides on creamily and I think the nourishing ingredients such as cocoa butter, sunflower seed oil, passion fruit seed oil, and natural vitamin E are doing their jobs in keeping the lips hydrated.

Ingredients. It's a white box but just got a bit dirty haha.
As for the color, I think it is a perfect match for natural color of my lips which is a bit dark. It is mauve but when I look at it on my lips, it has a reddish-brown undertone. I wish it had a more brightening effect on my face because I think I look a bit dull wearing it. I think it's a great color for everyday at the office.  With one layer and just dabbed with my finger it's perfect for the no makeup look. If layered a bit, it will be darker and it looks brown and vampy.

Swatched on the back of my hand.
The staying power is probably the negative aspect  of this lippie. Since it is not a matte lipstick I think it's quiet understandable. It literally melts as I brush it with my lip brush.I think it only stayed for about three hours on me; it leaves a reddish stain afterwards. At least it is non drying. Anyway, there are ways to extend the staying power of a lipstick on the lips, as indicated in the leaflet that came with it.

The lipstick came with a little leaflet that contained some infos and tips about lipsticks and application.
Here's a  photo of me wearing the bespoken Human Heart Nature Mineral ColorCreme Lipstick. Looks like I'm not wearing anything at all, ayt? I also have here the before and after color of my lips. Told you it's almost the same color as my natural lip color.

To cap things...
If you are looking for a lipstick that would give you a natural, no makeup makeup look I think you could go for this one. There are other options for color choices. Those who would like to give their lips a rest from drying or matte lipsticks would also love this because of its moisturizing properties. Plus it's from Human Heart Nature so you're getting a 100% Natural product which is also free from harmful chemicals. They also don't test on animals.

XO,

Carissa
I made it a point at the start of the year that the year 2015 would be a year of change. I wanted to be more socially and environmentally responsible. Even in just my little ways I wanted to make a difference. Bit by bit I tried to transform my lifestyle because I know that in order to effect change around me I needed to start with myself.

Check out the products of this noble proudly Filipino company that has served as my constant companion in fulfilling my personal advocacy.

It is no secret though that I am similar with most women in my ‘slight’ addiction with using cosmetics and personal care products. Lately, I have become ingredient-conscious and I’ve been loitering in grocery aisles reading the micro prints at the back of different products hoping to find ones that don’t contain too much chemical based components.

I have become familiar with different ingredients that are considered harmful such as:
mineral oil, petroleum, petrolatum, SLS/SLES, CDEA/CMEA, disodium EDTA, benzophenone/oxybenzone, hydroquinone, CDEA/CMEA, triclosan, DEET, parabens, phenoxyethanol

I would get disappointed each time because so many products in the market contain one, several or all of those ingredients. I knew that there were natural or organic products out there but I’ve always associated them with being expensive or difficult to procure because usually they had to be sourced offshore.

On a different day I did a bit of a research about Filipino-made products as part of my other advocacy which is to support local ones. I found some brands, both familiar and not. HUMAN NATURE literally caught my eye. With one look I kind of got the entire idea about what they were selling but I had to click the link to fully understand. And boy I was amazed! Where have you been all my la aah aaah ife. Or which rock have I been living under for such a long time because it seems that HHN has been in existence of at least five years. Above all, it’s philosophy of being Pro-Philippines, Pro-Poor and Pro-Environment has got me hitting three birds with one stone!

When my first orders from HHN arrived I was uber excited to try them all and after weeks of testing them I promised to repurchase as long as the products are available in the market.

Here’s  a rundown of HHN products that are now staples in my daily personal care.

Human Nature Mineral Pressed Powder in Island Shell
“Did you know that Human Nature’s mineral makeup line is 100% natural? That’s right, gorgeous! So say bye-bye to parabens, synthetic dyes, talc and other toxic chemicals, and say hello to only pure fab goodness everyday!”

I am happy that I finally found a pressed powder that doesn’t have an overwhelming scent. It’s also very light on the face and I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel like it has a cooling effect on my face. Just a minor hitch on my part though because I had a tough time picking the right shade and there were three of them available: Orient Pearl (light, yellow undertone), Island Shell (fair, pink undertone), and Sand Dollar (medium, yellow undertone). I picked Island Shell because I figured it would fit me but I noticed that on the later part of the day it tends to get darker on my skin and well, I feel that I should still check out if how the other shades would be like for me. I have no regrets getting this though because I’ll just use it for it to contour my face. And I understand that getting the right shade of pressed powders is always hit and miss. (^_^)

Human Nature Moisturizing Shampoo in Vanilla Lush
“Start your hair rescue with our Natural Moisturizing Shampoo! It’s the only one with breakthrough CREAMFoam® technology, which acts like a lotion to soften and nourish your hair. Plus, it’s got Philippine coco nectar, bursting with amino acids, vitamins and minerals!”

I super love the scent of this one! Lathering this one my hair doesn’t make me guilty because I know that it is filled with natural goodness. I’ve always wanted to use Coconut stuff on my hair but I know that it’s impossible to do it on a daily basis. HHN solved my woes.

Human Nature Moisturizing Conditioner in Mandarin Fresh
“For truly beautiful hair that's touchably soft and healthy, sometimes shampoo just isn't enough. We’re here to help you get soft, smooth, sleek hair with our Natural Moisturizing Conditioner. It's made with some of nature’s most intense moisturizers, avocado, sunflower and soybean oil, that condition and nourishes the hair. A final touch of virgin coconut oil gives your hair a healthy shine, without the chemicals.”

Human Nature Balancing Facial Wash and Toner
This is the perfect combo for my oily face. After a month of using them, I can say that it’s even better than the Pond’s or St. Ives that I have been using before. I’m used to having breakouts whenever I get my menstrual period but when I started using this HHN Balancing Facial Wash and Toner Duo, I have never gotten any zits on my face, big or small.

Human Nature Day and Night Moisturizer

Aside from being head-over-heels with the scents of these moisturizers, I love how light they feel on the skin. They are easily absorbed by my skin and with the loads of anti-oxidants and vitamins they contain I am sure that my skin finally gets the nourishment that it deserves. These are now my must-haves and I have been using them everyday ever since I got them.
The day moisturizer serves as my pre-makeup prep but it doesn’t contain any SPF so it has to be partnered with HHN’s Safe Protect Sunblock.
The night moisturizer on the other hand just gives me a beautiful morning glow.

More reasons to love HHN:
  • HHN partners with Gawad Kalinga Villages and local farmers and suppliers and thus supports so many Filipino’s lives and dreams throughout the archipelago.
  • Great Packaging. Really, you wouldn’t expect much from a local brand which sells its products at relatively low prices. And that’s where you’re wrong.
  • Everything smells good. Try them to find out.
  • Cruelty Free and PETA-Certified.
  • Expiration dates are well indicated. Month, Day and Year.
  • Natural and Environment friendly. Rejoice Mother Earth!
  • Free returns.
  • Membership, Dealership and Discounts.
