The Human Heart Nature Natural Body Wash is a mild wash that effectively cleanses away dirt and grime while being gentle on the skin. It is free from SLS/SLES, paraben and synthetic fragrances. It is available in two scents: Sweet Orange and Gentle Berry.

My Take
We've had another merciless dry season, with the unrelenting hot temperature and humid air. Think of this, as early as 10:00 am at the office, I am already imagining going home and heading straight to the bath to wash off the stickiness. In truth, I can only have another bath after a long day's work and the simple process felt like cleansing my soul. No, actually it was heaven on earth. 😂

I wanted to elevate my experience while taking my evening baths and that is how I started missing Human Heart Nature. I wanted to have something that smells really nice and to me, HHN products always smell good in a non-synthetic way. I've been an HHN fan for a long time but it's been a while since my last purchase so I decided to order some over Shopee. Moreover, I also noticed that taking multiple baths in a day using soap has started to take a toll on my skin. I could feel that it was making me dry so I knew that I needed something mild and HHN fits the bill.

I was so excited when my package arrived that I couldn't wait to take a bath. 😆 And because of this product, my quick bath took twice the usual time. You know why? Well, I spent a great amount of time just sniffing the symphony of fruity scents coming right off the bottle. The body wash comes in a transparent gel form and it lathers well - but not in a big bubble type of way. Just small suds but I can feel how well it cleanses my skin. I took the time to massage the whole stuff all over my body to make me feel relaxed. When it came to washing off I 'm glad that there is no sticky or greasy after-feel. Above all, my skin felt clean but it didn't feel dry. Clean ingredients and clean feeling for the win! ✔️✔️

"...You got that James Dean daydream look in your eye
and I got that red lip, classic thing that you like."
-Style.Taylor Swift

I'm borrowing lines from Taylor Swift again. I do have a love-hate relationship with this girl. :) I have just finished watching the 1989 WORLD TOUR for the nth time on my computer (I wish it were live!) and  I suddenly felt like wearing red lipstick again since it's T-Swizzles trademark lip color. Geez! The "T-Swizzle" monicker is so Fearless-era BTW! Ha ha. Anyway, the 1989 documentary has one too many close-up shots of Taylor, hard not to get inspired by those puckers. So I grabbed my own current go-to red lippie and decided to do a review here in my blog. Chop chop after the jump!

Meet the ABBAMART Get Your Lip Crayon in shade Red Velvet. Before I get to the review, here's Taylor working the stage at the 1989 World Tour. ;)
It's the new soundtrack I could dance to this beat. Welcome to New York, y'all!
 ABBAMART Get Your Lip Crayon
Shade: Red Velvet
Price: Php 320.00
Where I Got It: The Althea Online Shop//www.ph.althea.kr

This one was part of my Althea mini haul back in November. I don't really wear red lipsticks that often but there are days when you need a pop of color, or you just feel bold and fierce, or you just feel inspired by Tay's style, so for me it's still smart to keep one in your stash.

The red lippie in my current stash is this one from ABBAMART which is a Korean brand. The packaging definitely caught my attention on first sight. It does look like a crayon or a pen. With the cap on, it could definitely pass for an office supply. (^_^)

It is retractable; no need to sharpen anything. You can see from the photo above that the bullet is pretty slim. It has a fruity smell that at first I couldn't put a name on but when I checked the Althea website it says it has grapefruit smell so I was like, okay, it is a bit tangy.

Color description at Althea says that it is a cherry red color.

Sorry about the baggies. :) This was taken indoor with no flash.
MY TAKE
It is a lovely bright red color with blue undertone. It instantly brightens up my face when I put it on. What you see on tube is what you get on your lips. It is matte but not drying. It easily spreads on the lips and easily blends. It doesn't emphasize lines, no patchiness.

But, it transfers. The color stays bright, it can even survive lunchtime but has the tendency to move to the edges of your lips. It can be easily solved by pressing your lips together and it still looks vivid. I also struggled a bit with the rounded tip of the lippie because I couldn't apply on the tiny corners of the lip.

Here's how my lips look before applying, after and about 4 hours after application.

ABBAMART Get You Lip Crayon on my lips until 4 hours.
Korean makeup and cosmetics have taken the world by storm and it's not bad if we Pinoys want a little piece of it for ourselves. This Lip Crayon is perfect for the K-Makeup fans out there who dig cute packaging and good performance from their purchases.
When we hear the term matte lipstick we think that it would be horribly dry on the lips but I have experienced none of that with this lippie. No chapping too so that is a big plus.

It's still available on Athea and it has other color varieties: Scarlet and Bad Girl (Burgundy)

That song line at the start of this post is from Tay's Style and that's basically how red lips are: they never go out of style.

I found these little babies at the online shop of Bench Philippines. What caught my attention, aside from the bright colors, was the the neon green sticker that said "Vegan Formula". I usually just see the DBP-Free or Tolouene-Free labels, and this is probably the fist time that I encountered a vegan formula nail polish from a local brand. Curioso? Let's explore after the jump.

Our Vegan Nail Polish is perfect for all the nail lacquer addicts who constantly have the desire to beautify their nails.

This products boasts its Keratin content and its Vegan Formula which means it has:
NO Formaldehyde (a cancer-causing agent)
NO Toluene (a skin irritant found in glue and gasoline)
NO Di-butyl Phtalate or DBP (associated with birth defects and male hormone disruption)
NO Animal derivatives
NOT tested on animal
-from shop.bench.com.ph

Proudly Filipino from Paint Box/Bench
Veganism of course means not eating any food that comes from animals nor consuming any product that comes from animals. While I am not (yet!) engaged in such a way of life, I know that there are many girls out there who for various reasons are  practicing it. That's why I'm glad that a well-loved homegrown brand such as Bench/  has thought of catering to these particular needs. Not only that, they also have a wide array of colors to choose from. At Php 59.00 per 11 mL bottle, it is also very affordable.

Last July I went on a mini shopping spree at http://shop.bench.com.ph/ and I picked these three as add-ons. I regret getting only three because the colors are really lovely.

Blueberry Cheesecake - which looks more lavender to me than blue
Paradise Green - which I  think is a minty bluish green with a lot of attitude
Baked Apple - a lovely, flattering shade of red

Check 'em out.

Luvly, aren't they?!

I wish I'd gotten some neutral colors, one nude and one light pink. They would certainly look good on my fingernails, even if I very rarely were colors because I do a lot of laundry. Ha ha! Well, anyway, I will be featuring them soon on an #NOTD. And I will definitely be checking 'em out when I chance upon a Bench shop.

P.S. These colors remind me a lot of Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour, specially the Blueberry Cheesecake and the Baked Apple ones. She'd wear such colors topped with glitters. To my surprise, I found this Tumblr account which featured 1989 inspired colors. These are of course imaginary ones and are fan-made, but we were kind of thinking about the same thing here. ;)
Screaming Color, Wonderland and Bad Blood colors look familiar. whatcha say? :)
Ever been curious if what were the hit songs on the year you were born? I certainly have been which is why I decided to Wiki if what were the Billboard Hot 100 Songs for 1987. My curiosity might have something to do with a hangover on Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour which I watched the other night. At the beginning, she screams something like "Hi, I'm Taylor and I was born in 1989." The album (1989) of course is inspired by the popular music of that generation.

I scanned the Billboard Hot 100 Songs for 1987 list and truth be told, I am unfamiliar with a whole lot of them. I chose about 15 or so which I think I liked and was familiar with. And, drumrolls please... here's the list.

"Alone" by Heart

Yes! The song that Anne Curtis loves "singing" was 1987's 2nd biggest hit. Amazing how after all of these years this song is still quiet relevant.  While Heart's version is great and has withstood the test of time, and Anne's (she gon' hit those notes, ayt?) make me feel nervous, Celine Dion's rendition just gives me goosebumps!

"I Wanna Dance With Somebody" and "Didn't We Almost Have It All" by Whitney Houston

Whitney at the top of her game was just mind-boggling. How she hit those notes (seemingly) with ease and without distorting her face makes me wanna sigh as I recount her ill fate. NVM. She lives in her songs. "I Wanna Dance" in on the soundtrack of one of my fave chick flicks, "13 Going on 30" featuring Jennifer Garner.

"Livin' On a Prayer" and "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi

I honestly thought these were 90's hits. SRSLY. Jon Bon Jovi's been around that long? Apparently yes! Is he a vampire? :) IDTS. But he is much cooler than some vampires that I know. What am I talking about. I would want to learn how to sing the anthemic "Livin' On a Prayer" on videoke, if only I had the throat for it. But anyway, I would be pick their songs any day than the current hits that talk about butts. :p

The Mellows
These were songs that I "hated" hearing on the radio when I was younger because they were boring. Now that I'm more mature, I've gotten around and learned to appreciate them.
"Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You" by Glenn Madeiros
"The Next Time I Fall" by Peter Cetera and Amy Grant
"Somewhere Out There" by Linda Ronstadt and James Ingram
"Will You Still Love Me" by Chicago

The Upbeats

Need no explaining, ayt? While I'm at it let me distract you with this photo of Gloria Estefan. She's pretty. I know of someone who has had a crush on her. :)
"Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" by Starship
"I've Had The Time Of My Life" by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warmes
"Rhythm Is Gonna Get You" by Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machines
"Funky Town" by Pseudo Echo

Janet, Madonna, and Michael
Yeah, lastly. Pop songs of the 80's wouldn't be complete without these three.
"Let's Wait A While" by Janet Jackson
"Open Your Heart" and "La Isla Bonita" by Madonna
"Bad" by Michael Jackson

There, there. There was a time when songs were actually sung. What I'd do to have the big hairs of that era. Kidding aside. Music has been and always will be a huge part of my life. That is quiet true with most Filipinos, I think. #Throwback is huge these days and it's a good feeling to be able to look back and see how much music has evolved. And the hairstyles too! :)

Hi! Thanks for dropping by fellow bloggers and beloved readers. If you are forever 22 like me, I'm sure you've heard that November marks the release of Taylor Swift's fifth studio album. So today I'm here to share my favorite songs off it and a whole lot of lines from each song. How does that sound? Ayt, let's do it! :)

"It's a new soundtrack I could dance to this beat."
