These aren't exactly fresh. I got these products at the end of 2019. Can you believe it?
It's been four months and I'm only blogging about them now. What a slacker!
Well anyways, I have more time to blog these days. And as you can probably see... I'm on a roll. ;) 
I've been posting at least once a week. I'm meaning to do more. Bringing back my 2017 level of blog productivity. Oh yeah!
Working on a skeletal shift has it's benefits. I've also been doing lots of DIY stuff these days.
So, let's move on to the topic at hand: these are the latest products that I got from Sample Room.
I prefer getting skin care or daily essentials from them because I am practical that way.
You know, it seems that no matter what happens, I will never not use skin care products.
So this time, I got me a toner (because I will never skip toning), a sunscreen (because, duh), and a face mask (no, not THAT COVID-related mask).

Belo Essentials AcnePro Treatment Toner

What is it? What does it do?
An anti-acne toner that is infused with Purified Bee Venom which is clinically proven to treat mild to moderate acne and reduce inflammation. It unclogs congested pores & dries up pimples, reduces inflammation and red marks and soothes skin from irritation. It is oil-free, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, and non-comedogenic.

My Take
When I read the details of this toner, it felt like this is THE ONE made for me. Those ⬆️ are the skin problems that I always encounter, albeit not on a large scale. And I enjoyed using every single bit of this product because it really helped in calming down the zits and the oiliness. What saddens me is that this isn't the usual Belo toner that I see in the local stores because I've only seen the pink and orange ones. I haven't spotted this toner in town. If it were available, I'm pretty sure I would always purchase this one.

Vitapack Whitening UV Sunscreen

What is it? What does it do?
It is a soft cream that protects the skin from harmful UV rays to prevent premature skin ageing while keeping the skin light and moisturized. It is infused with antioxidants in Sunflower Oil and Vitamin E to nourish, speed up rejuvenation and even out skin tone, and Sodium Hyaluronate to plump up skin for a lightweight, non-sticky and water-resistant finish.

My Take
I've always associated suncreens with stickiness so I was overjoyed when I road tested the Vitapack Whitening UV Sunscreen. It comes in a creamy formula but when applied to the skin, it leaves a matte finish. It also spreads easily on the skin so it's hassle-free. It makes the skin look smooth and at times, I would apply it and skip the bb cream or liquid foundation and just top it with powder. Even when I sweat out, my skin doesn't look oily or sticky. The label says that it is water-resistant, however I was not able to try it out because swimming got canceldt because of COVID19, so I won't be able to make a sound comment on that aspect.

The BIG problem that I had is that I believe it has been causing my pimples on my temple area. I used this a lot earlier this year and I kept having pimples on the same area. And then I stopped using it for a while, but not because I suspected that it was causing me pimples but just because I had other products to try out. And then a week ago, I used this because I was in a hurry to go out and it was the only sun protecting product I could grab. And voila, within that day, I had a painful red bump and I am still currently dealing with it. So. And there isn't a chance that I'll be using this sunscreen again because it is about to reach the end of its life, according to the label.
Rating: 3/5 (Truly, I wanted to love it, but.)

My Take
The first few days of May has been rough on me. These aren't exactly huge problems but it's been stressful that I couldn't take it any longer: I had to pamper myself a bit. So I grabbed this mask. As I pried it from the protective film that was covering it and tried to put it on my face, the first thing I noticed about it was that the material was too thin. I wasn't too gentle but I didn't exert too much force and I seem to have stretched the mask so easily that the hole for my left eye was bigger than the one for the right. When I tried to adjust it, it kept stretching that the mask became too big for my face. The only solution for me was to try to make it fit by crumpling some parts of the mask. WHAT A MESS! But after wearing it for 30 minutes, I felt nothing but appreciation for how soft and bouncy my face was. It still felt that way even the next day. I could have given it a better rating if it wasn't so difficult for me to use. Rating 3.5/5 (I loved it, but...)

My Take
First of all, please forgive me if my Cream Silk bottle looks so beat up in this photo. Sample Room didn't send it to me looking like that. They always send fresh products. I was just soooo excited when it arrived that I decided to peruse it prior to taking photos. By the time that we got to a camera, the bottle wasn't cute anymore. 😆 Anyways.

This product promises to tame frizz, revive and restore damaged hair with its Keratin content while also maintaining the vibrancy of the color and it speaks to me as I've had those procedures done this year. I used this product around the time that my regrowth (and therefore my real hair damage) was already showing.

After using this, I can say that I just have neutral feeling about it. You know, I don't hate it but I also did not fall head-over-heels about it. My hair feels smooth at the start but as I hit the PM I can see the frizz coming. Knowing that my hair is too dry and too frizzy anyway, it would take a miracle and a hair iron to totally tame it. But I love the sweet smell that it has and that even if the day has passed my hair still smells good and fresh. It also helped maintain the vibrancy of my hair color.

Will I buy this? Maybe not this variant but I will still keep buying Cream Silk conditioners as a whole. They make some of the best hair conditioners in the country after all!

My Take
This treatment creme is my favorite in this bunch! First of all, I love the sweet floral scent and how it stays sweet throughout the day. Above all, it really performs well in taming the frizz and taking away the dullness. When I started using this, I realized that for my hair type, I really need something more than just the daily conditioner. I needed something richer to be used once or twice a week to pamper my crowning glory.

Will I purchase this again? Big YES!
Vaseline Healthy White Fresh & Fair Cooling UV Gel Lotion

What is it?

My Take
This lotion, being the gel type, is perfect for those who can't take the heavy feeling of having creamy or sticky lotion on the skin. Yes, they exist. :) Thankfully I am just chill about it when it comes to lotions; I can take the creamy type or gel type. However, I want it to be something that is easily absorbed by the skin and something that will keep it feeling soft and smooth. This Vaseline lotion does both of that. I also love the light and fresh scent. It says that it has UV protection however it is not indicated if how much is the SPF content. That's a bummer for since I prefer something that has SPF 15 or more with it. On making the skin fairer in 2 weeks, I also did not notice any changes on my skin based on those claims.

Will I purchase this? I would say no. But there is another Vaseline product that I have used previously and I'm glad that I decided to take a photo of it for reference. It's the Vaseline Healthy White Serum with SPF 30 PA +++. It' s also lightweight but it has everything else that I was looking for in the Gel Lotion like the SPF and the brightening effects. So don't fret Vaseline. You didn't loose a customer in me, it's just a matter of preference. ;)

I think I've said it before, and I'll say it again. When it comes to product sampling authority in this country, Sample Room is an institution. The membership these days is thousands strong and I'm glad that I was able to join in the early days because now I've got 200+ plus points that I can utilize in ordering sample products. And it's not just the ordering process that's enjoyable for me but also the feeling of finding products that work for me after trying it out for free. "Try before you buy" is Sample Room's mantra after all. 


Last year, I've gotten busier due to work and mommy-hood commitments that I've only been able to order once. Sometimes it takes me a while for me to post a review at the Sample Room site so I can't replenish my points. But no matter how far I "stray", I will always come back anyway. 

I decided to order products from one brand: Derma-C. I go them last January, so its been a while and I've really had enough time to try them out. Read my impressions/quick reviews after the jump.
Derma C by Poten-Cee Brightening Serum Face Mask

Lots of good stuff in here, huh! It is formulated by Korean skincare experts, Derma-C Serum Face Mask is hypoallergenic and has been dermatologically tested for all types of skin.

My Take
So, its hard to really make a full review about a product if you've only used it once. So let's just say that this is rather an impression about the product. I'm a big fan of Korean face masks and I have always observed that most of the time there's a good amount of extra essence inside the pouch which I love to apply liberally on my face and neck. There isn't that much extra essence on this pack but there's no love lost really because I liked this mask. 

The sheet is thick, mind you I have experienced using mask sheets that easily break. I loved the sweet-tangy scent of the essence. It always feels refreshing that way. Vitamin C naturally brightens so its no surprise that it will have a nice effect on dull skin. Add all those oils, Vitamin E and collagen and your skin is really in for a nice treat. I felt so refreshed and pampered after using this. Will I repurchase this? Of course I will!

My Take
Just like the face mask, this soap also contains Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Collagen and natural oils. However, I found this soap too drying on my face that I decided to just use it on my body. It didn't cause breakouts on my face naman but I just prefer to use something gentler on my face. I also didn't experience whitening effect so if I will be asked if I would purchase this I would probably say no since I have another favorite body soap. It's also quiet expensive for me at Php 112.00.


Ascorbic Acid Poten-Cee Forte

What is it?
Poten-Cee Forte is a 1000 MG Ascorbic Acid tablet in an 8-Hour-Time-Release formula for a whole-day Vitamin C protection. Poten-C Vitamin C gives the benefit of Immunity + Healthy Skin because it not only helps boost immunity, it is also essential in collagen production for a healthy skin and hair.

My Take
I got this product in January and I don't know if you can still recall just how cold the first two months of 2019 was but it's still very fresh in my memory. Needless to say, my immune system took a hit and I had colds. Thankfully, I remembered that I had several Ascorbic Acid tablets from Poten-Cee. I drank just one tablet per day and with that my body was able to fight back and the colds didn't turn into something worse like flu.

Hey Sample Room, it's been a while. :)
If I'm not mistaken, this is only my first haul from them for the year 2018. 
I think I stopped ordering sample products when my debit card stopped working for online payments
but now that it's been upgraded to the one with EMV chip and it's working fine, I'm back in business. 
These products caught my eye and thankfully, I had enough points in my account to cover them all. I always prefer ordering stuff that will be useful to my daily life so I got a perfume to keep me smelling fresh, a conditioner for my DDD (dry, dead, damaged) locks, and a controversial piece that will be very useful when that time of the month comes. ;)

Bursts of fruity essence for the woman who uplifts like the sunshine wherever she goes. The opening is fresh with crisp, dewy green notes, blackcurrants and petit grain. Soleil et Lune (Brigitte) Review and Rating
I may have mentioned in this blog that I am easily nauseated with perfumes. Thankfully, I didn't experience any headaches when I first got a whiff of Brigitte by Soleil et Lune. This scent reminds me of Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey albeit Brigitte is  tad heavier and sweeter than the former. It makes sense though because as the description says, the heart of this scent is "succulent nectarines and acacia honey".  I am a fan of fruity scents so this fits the bill.
If there's anything I can complain about this product I'd say it's the longevity. It never seems to go beyond the 2 hour mark on me.  Rating: 3/5

Cream Silk Fresh Hydration Conditioner Review and Rating
I think it goes without saying that Cream Silk is still the leader in the Conditioner market in this country. It remains a favorite because it is affordable and is of good quality and of course this Fresh Hydration is no exception. The formula is less thicker than their regular conditioners but it works just fine in keeping the frizz in check without the greasy feel. However,  I think I still need more in the hydration department. And the 24 hour fresh feel claim is too tall for me. Rating: 3.5/5

I have yet to review this product mainly because as I write this blog post, I am still waiting for my period. 😃 I have zero experience when it comes to using tampons so I don't know what to expect. I was just surprised though, when I opened the box. I expected the tampons to be bigger but it's just about the size of M16 bullets. LOL. Now I'm wondering if how much blood can it actually hold. I will be making a separate post about my experience in using tampons.

My latest order from Sample Room arrived over the weekend. Thank God I was able to order ahead of the ASEAN Summit days, otherwise I would've had to wait a week more or two to receive my samples.

This'll come as handy as my hair is currently in a curly and frizzy state. Well, I'm already a fan of their Hair Cuticle Coat, so I've had high hopes about this product. True enough it really helps smooth out my frizzy hair without the greasy feel. In my case though, since my hair is naturally dry and curly, it doesn't hold for long. This is great though, for those moments when I tie my hair into a sleek bun or a pony tail since it helps in keeping down those strays.

I've used this a couple of times and I can say that my complexion is clearing up without visible peeling and flaking. It also doesn't sting and it helps in taking out the dirt and residue that is left behind after cleansing. I'd have to observe longer though to find out if it can really help reduce the appearance of dark spots.

The pink and yellow hues of the packaging of my latest Sample Room picks just makes me feel giddy and girly. So while I'm at it, here's a sneak peek of the three products. I got them at the start of this month and as usual, I was happy to see the familiar Sample Room bag arrive at my doorstep. These products will be very useful for the next couple of months, especially the one that I got for my daughter.

I got a full-sized sample, hooray! I'm really excited about the sun protection part of this product more than the whitening part. Morena and proud here! ;) But if it would be able to remove dark spots and keep my skin moisturized, why not? I will be road testing this one and review is coming soon!

Another full sized sample! And it's huge! Double hooray! I grabbed this one because my daughter would  be attending kindergarten school this month and she will be more active than usual. I'm loving the gentleness of this product because my daughter really hates it when her eyes get stung by bath product. No tears and stings from this one. It is also lightly scented and although at the end of the day, even if the scent is gone her hair doesn't smell like sweat.

...And last but not the least, product number 3!

Celeteque Matte Moisturizer with SPF 30
Price: 
Don't they look so cute? Sample-sized Celeteque moisturizers.
I couldn't find the deets about this product at the Sample Room Page or the Celeteque page but I have recently purchased the Celeteque DermoScience Sun Care Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 and I think that there would be similarities between these two products. These babies will have an edge though because of the higher SPF content and oily-skinned gals will be benefited because of the matte finish promise. 

 I will write  a blog post comparing the two in the future. Watch out for that!

I'm glad that I picked these products since they will all be very useful for a mom and a skin care junkie like me.

We've almost reached half of 2017 but I'm only on my second Sample Room haul? Well I'm taking things slowly because as much as possible I'd like to give honest reviews about these products and I know that the best way to do that would be to make keen observations and really try them out for a certain period.

Whenever I get some products from Sample Room, I can't help but reminisce about the past: when I was just starting out. Nag start din ako sa 100 points, yung tag isang item lang ang kayang i-order. But here I am now, getting as many as three items, which is the maximum for one transaction. It sustains my addiction of trying out new products.  Nakakatipid talaga ako. When somebody sees the pile of products arriving via LBC, I'm not even sure if they believe me when I say that I got them for free. Hiyah! I'm sharing some of my latest orders from Sample Room. Sample Room is of course, the Philippine's first ever beauty and lifestyle sampling website. This year marks my 4th year of being a member. How time flies! I discovered Sample Room in 2013. Then of course, Super Typhoon Yolanda happened and I went into a blog hiatus. There are times that I become busy that I forget to visit their website for months but you know, I will always come back because I love discovering new products. Check out the photo of the Zenutrients Gugo Shampoo above. That's a Gugo bark inside the bottle so we're definitely in for the real thing and just upped our hair thickening props here. Both of the shampoo and conditioner smell minty and you only need to check out the other ingredients to find out where the scent is coming from. The Shampoo also contains Tea Tree Leaf Oil (Meleleuca Alternifolia) and Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil. Meanwhile, the Conditioner has Peppermint Oil (Mentha Piperita). These minty scents are soothing and very unique, as opposed to the floral scents of other shampoo and conditioner combos in the market. They also have a nice cooling effect on the hair and scalp.

And because I am featuring Zenutrients products, I have also included the Gugo Strengthening Hair Serum in this post. I also got this from Sample Room last year and I find that this serum compliments the shampoo and conditioner. It is perfect for keeping the hair moisturized and frizz-free
