Okay, maybe it's not sky but more like the air and some space up there. Ha ha.

We came to see Queen Britney on the 15th of June and while waiting for the 8 PM show, we had plenty of time to check out the Mall of Asia. The MOA Eye was actually on our agenda so we pretty much tried to find our way through this humongous concrete jungle. Describing the directions to get to the Eye would be pretty hard to put on this blog but it is located at the Bay, so just find your way to the sea. Anyway, there are plenty of wiling-to-help MOA people peppered in the entire place so you'll do just fine. Like we did just fine. OMG! It was our first time to be alone together in Manila!

To put you into perspective, this is where the Eye is located. That's the Bay side of the Mall of Asia.

US is me, together with my two younger siblings. But in this pack, I like acting as the youngest or the middle child. Oh, they love to baby me. Ha ha. This is us, just checking out the place and being all touristy. The MOA Eye is located at the Amusement Park by the Bay, and it opens at 3:00 PM.

Me with my siblings Skinny and Fluffy, eyeing the MOA Eye.

I got the eye of the ...MOA? Ha ha
As soon as the gates of the Amusement Park opened, we headed up to the MOA Eye. It was 3:00 PM-hot and humid and the lady at the desk advised us to wait a little while since the gondolas would be hot AF as well, never mind if they are air-conditioned. So we waited waited waited. The place is open up to 1:00 AM so we actually contemplated on getting our ride at a later time. We ditched that idea tho because, why wait for later if you can have your ride now. ;) And besides, it'll be dark then and we don't know how tired we will be after the concert. Maybe we won't have the energy to hop into those gondolas.

Y'all. All I'm saying is, check out the gondolas. :)
I actually forgot to count how many gondolas are there in the entire Ferris Wheel. But according to this source, there are 36 of them, all air-conditioned and able to accommodate up to six passengers . The tallest Ferris Wheel in the country is said to be 55 meters tall. Jitters jitters. While waiting for the temp to cool down a bit, I took a panoramic shot of the Conrad Hotel Manila which is located right across the street. We were actually contemplating if Britney is checked into this hotel but we can't know since the everything about her during this tour was pretty much under wraps.

A panoramic shot of the Conrad Hotel Manila - just across the MOA Eye.
It was 4 pm-ish when we finally hopped into one of the gondolas. It cost Php 150.00 (about 3 USD) for each of us. What can I say? It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. Honestly. Pramis! The wheel turns really slowly so I didn't feel dizzy. It's not scary. Just try not to look down, which is impossible. Ha ha. And try not fuss with the latches and just be still, it'll be easier that way. I wasn't scared but I'll admit that my knees trembled a bit. It was scarier on the way up than it was on the way down.

I'm really sitting still, like I said.
The view from up there.
We also have a short clip here. Why do I look so behaved, like a little kitten? Ha ha.

So, worth it ba? To be honest, super bitin! I wanted more, more, more. The 150 pesos was just for one round. I forgot to clock it but it felt like less than 10 minutes, just a little over 5 minutes.

When you're at the highest point of the wheel, there's that really scary feeling. It's like your knees are turning into jelly. But you don't want that feeling to end. Enjoyably scary? Is there such a thing as that? :)

Gossip Girl last aired like four years ago (2012) but I still adore (and miss) the pair of Leighton Meester and Blake Lively who played the now iconic roles of Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen. In truth, I was only able to watch in full up to the the fourth season, and some episodes of the 5th, but hey, am still a big fan here. I still can't get over about how stylish and lovely they looked, and as I write this, I'm watching the sixth season. Yey! It's been a long time coming.

So while I'm at it, I just sort of looked back at some if their photos from Gossip Girl. How time flies; both Blake and Leighton are now moms just like me. ;)
S and B, ready to do the divide and conquer strategy. Image from styl.sh
There, there. You can't really blame girls the world over who wanted to cop their looks and style. I never really went beyond the bed hair and the headband when copying their styles but these two are my girl crushes a lot of times I want to be beautiful and feel beautiful just like them. Ha ha. Achieve ba? I'll try. These are some of the products I tried for beauty ala B and S.

Beachborn Sea Salt Spray
Price: Php 199.00
Where I Got It: BeautyMNL

How to achieve the beach waves?
The name Serena is synonymous to slept-in hair. Wanting to cop those manes? I've been there. That's why I was really thrilled when I came across this product on BeautyMNL. It's really easy to use; you just spray, scrunch, air dry, and voila! Beach waves! I have observed though that it doesn't hold the waves that long and after a while, hair starts to feel sticky and weighed down. I've also had issues about the sprayer and I had to transfer it to a different spritzer so that I can continue using it. Then a few months later, when I tried to sniff the product if it was still okay, instead of the sea-salty smell it used to have, it just smelled sickly sweet that borders on being stale. Too bad. :(

Vaseline Lip Therapy
Price: Php 88.00
Where I Got It: BeautyMNL

Here are the details and the ingredients list.
Blair's doll-like lips make her look a cherub even when she is the Queen of Schemes. And wouldn't you agree that no matter how lovely the color of your lipstick is or how expensive it is, if your lips are chapped, it won't look flattering on you. That's  why I always make sure that my lips are smooth. When I saw this one on BeautyMNL I got really curious about it. It's less than a hundred pesos so I decided to buy it. It really helps in healing chapped lips. It goes smoothly and doesn't feel heavy or thick. I have one problem about it tho: it smells like petroleum and I'm really bothered.

Y.E.T Police Mask (Oil Control)
Price: Php 24.00
Where I Got It: ph.althea.kr

Congratulations if you can read hangul. If not, at least the ingredients list is in English.
My girls S and B love shiny things but I'm sure they won't like it if the shine's on their faces. That's why I always try to find ways to control my own oil field.
This mask sheet came with the Althea haul that I had last November 2016. I love the tangy smell of the essence and it really enlivens the senses. This mask sheet stings the skin a bit tho. My husband said the same thing when he perused one sheet. There's a noticeable softness of the skin after using it but I can't really say that it controls oil because I still had the same troubles after using it.

Human Nature 100% Natural Night Moisturizer
Price: Php 175.00
Where I Got It: www.humanheartnature.com

Both S and B have glowing skin. Lucky them since they have all the money in the world to keep them looking lovely. One thing I've learned about skin care over the years is the magical word called consistency. Maybe your routine is the simple cleanse-tone-moisturize or the 12 Step Korean Beauty Regimen, it always calls for consistency to make something work. Yes, that includes moisturizing at night.

The Human Nature 100% Natural Night Moisturizer would have to be one of my most favorite night moisturizers. It might be a bit thick or heavy for some people's taste but for me, I just love slathering it on my face at night. And since it doesn't contain harmful or chemical based stuff, I just put more more more. I don't know if which of the ingredients does it but this moisturizer just calms my skin down. For example, if there's an impending zit, on the next day it will have healed a bit. Does that make any sense? Well I've experienced it many times with this moisturizer. Aside from that, I always wake up with glowing and non-greasy skin when I wake up. That's why, the Love Levels for this one is just 💓💓💓💓💓.

I'll just leave it here.
I cried buckets while watching the final episodes.

If my memory serves me right, Zalora Philippines is probably one of the very first online shops that I have ever shopped on. Moreover, I have every reason to keep coming back. Making payments is hassle-free because they accept debit cards. Shipping is on them when your total purchase is more than Php 995.00. Lastly, they put discounts on certain items every once in a while so you just have to keep your eyes peeled! This time around, my Php 1, 016.00 certainly went a long way during my latest Zalora shopping spree! You read that right.  I was able to purchase four b-new items for a little over a thousand bucks. Good deal, ayt? :) Read on for more deets.

I believe PAG-ASA has officially announced the end of the summer season in the Philippines and I just realized that I haven't reviewed this product yet. (^^,) I still have tons of products from Sample Room for review but I really take time to get to know a product well.

So here's a review of the Belo SunExpert After Sun Gel, which really came handy after a recent beach trip.

Keep you skin lookin' Belo-beautiful. :)
This one came with my latest loot from Sample Room, which I featured in this sneak peek: Sneak Peek Sample Room Second Haul for 2017.

Flashback to #SummerFeels

Now that summer's over and we encounter a few rain clouds here and there, we can only say "those were the days". However, great memories last forever, and thankfully I was able to capture the blueness of the skies and the hotness of the afternoon sun on this photo. Imagine yourself baking under le soleil and soaking up all the UVs. You will surely get sunburns by the end of the day.

However, I used these products from Belo SunExpert so I never had burns. I was so happy with the sun protection offered by these Belo products but I never really thought that there's a need for such a thing as an after sun gel. I didn't even know they existed. So when I came across it at Sample Room, I just knew that I had to try it out myself.

So, What Does It Do?

Belo SunExpert After Sun Gel can soothe sunburn and inflammation with its nourishing formula that is infused with almond oil and skin vitamins. It relieves sun-stressed skin from UV radiation damage, restores natural skin moisture, and hydrates dry or rough skin. It is also hypoallergenic, paraben-free, and dermatologist-tested.

Usage: Apply and massage a generous amount on face or body immediately after sun exposure. Re-apply as needed.

Ingredients and Other Details

In Action
Truth be told, I don't have any memory of getting sunburns. Maybe I had them when I was little but the closest that I've had to a bad after sun exposure experience is having that hot, tingling skin-sensation. When I used the Belo SunExpert After Sun Gel for the first time, that's how I came to appreciate the importance of having after sun care.

The Belo SunExpert After Sun Gel comes in a watery gel form. You can see from the photo below that it even becomes more watery as it comes in contact with the skin.

A dollop of the product.
After application
As you blend it, it disperses and leaves the skin  watery and well-moisturized. It also gives a cooling sensation. It really hydrates dry and rough skin and it also refreshes and relaxes it. Again, I didn't have any existing sunburns when I used this product so I can't prove nor disprove if it will be okay on sunburns, especially if the skin is already inflamed. It does contain Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil or sweet almond oil which has tons of benefits for the skin. Source
