Hello Karlie! Brought To Us By Sunnies Studios

Meet The Karlie!

I was beyond thrilled when this uberly adorable pair of sunnies arrived! I've been wanting to own one from Sunnies Studios and for a long time I've been scrolling through their equally adorable Facebook page to check out their collections. Unfortunately, they don't have a store in my area. But thanks to Zalora, I was able to grab one! :)

Sunnies Studios Who?!
I came across this brand through reading my sister's Candy Magazine. But back then, it was called Sunnies by Charlie. I remember it because I specifically checked the 'Where to Buy' page and found out that it's not sold in my area. I soon forgot about it.
Then I remember watching Georgina Wilson say that she had been busy about putting up a company that sold shades. So I totally got curious if which one. I then found out that it's the Sunnies for Charlie but has been renamed as Sunnies Studios.

"Sunnies Studios. The go-to eyewear destination in the Philippines founded in 2013."
-from their Facebook Page

Why so Exciting?
Well, for one, George wears it and so does her chic clique. :)
But apart from that, you can see that it's a well thought-out project. It's not just about some celebrity who decided to slap her name into a product so it would sell. The designs are beautiful, unique and adorable. They've got aviators and large framed ones but what really excites me the most are the cat-eye framed ones! The kind of iconic stuff that Jackie, Grace, and  Audrey wore and has a 50's-60's-70's vibe to it. The glasses have really cool girly names too! But wait, wait, wait! Can we afford it?!
Chillax! The affordability of these sunnies is part of the excitement. From what I can observe from their Facebook page, prices start at Php 299.
And we have to remember that wearing shades is not just about making a fashion statement. It's also about protecting our eyes from harmful UV rays. Sunnies have UV 400 protection. It might feel cool to wear those knock-offs/fakes but does it protect you from the sun? :)

Meet The Karlie..

I picked this one because I wanted a basic looking pair. You know, just a black-framed one with tinted lenses. And the name reminds me of Karlie Kloss, the Victoria's Secret Angel.

Full Description
Colour: Black Matte
Frame Shape: Round
Frame Colour: Black
Lens Treatment: Gradient
Lens Colour : Gray
Frame Material: Gradient

My face is oval-shaped so pretty much any type of sunnies would suit my face. For my first pair, I choose to go for the basic one. And here's me wearing it! :)

What glare?!

It hugs my face really well and protects my eyes from glare. And it didn't give me headaches which sometimes happen when I'm wearing stuff with tints. It comes with a really cute container too so we don't end up scratching the lens when it's inside our bag.

I Want More More More!
Like I said, browsing through their Facebook page only made me want more. Here are some of the Sunnies on my wishlist.

These are screencaps from their Facebook page. I'm lusting for the Selby and the Dovie. Soon babies. Soon :)
To Summarize
Good quality. Check
Innovative. Check
Affordable. Check
Filipino Company. Check. I'm an advocate of supporting quality Pinoy products.
And definitely repurchasing.

XO,

Cassie, The New 'Sunnies' Girl

PS. I am in no way affiliated with Sunnies Studios. I purchased  the Karlie with my own store credits at Zalora. This post is solely based on my opinion and I wasn't paid by SS to do this post.
