To Jobs That Pay The Rent.!

So I'm reading a book : One Day by David Nicholls.

Boom! It's probably old news for bookworms such as you because it's not even a new book. Well, I just got hold of a copy alright, alright?! And it's already been turned into a movie (starred by Anne Hathaway) so you probably already know the plot. However, nothing beats the details of the good ol' book so...I'm not even halfway through and it's looking beautiful. The book I mean and how it's written with such wit and smarts. So I've decided to take down notes about my most favorite lines. There'll be many, this being one.

Conversation between Em and Dex, the main characters.

"Em, you could be mining uranium with your teeth

and would be fine as long as you were happy. But you hate that job, you hate every single moment."

To which Em retorts:

"So? Most people hate their jobs. That's why they're called jobs."

Yey! Mid-twenties crisis coming through! How many of us have been in? I've been. And it's not a cute situation. It's like waking up in the morning and asking yourself over and over again why you're in that job. And then you say, 'Yeah, 'coz it pays the rent'. Before bad turns to worse, take a break. Breathe fresh air and it might change the mood. Weigh your options.

Statement.:)

Now if you feel like your principles in life are being violated and that the system is eating you and changing you into something you don't want to be, and after doing everything within your power in order to improve things, might as well break free. But but but, be sure you are prepared to take the consequences too. Unemployment is not a cute situation either. ;) You can try out a lot of new things while enjoying a little freedom but you are also letting go of that financial stability. Weigh your options. It's your call really.
