Trick Or Trick ver. 2026 with Cedie & Nala

But first, a photo op with the whole class!

My babies came as Super Mario and the Mushroom! How did I come up with this? Well, I just knew that I wouldn't be dressing them up as superheroes because I know that those costumes are pretty common.

Hello, guys! Meet Super Mario and the Mushroom.

I also didn't want to dress them up in something scary or gory. Yikes! When I was young, Mario video games were pretty popular. If you could play those back then, you were REALLY in the COOL club! I remember I could only play those whenever we spent summers with my Taclobanon cousins. So, these costumes are all about me healing my childhood? Ha ha ha. But no...just recently, I saw Cedie watching the Mario Brothers on YouTube and I thought, "Wow, he's familiar with the whole Mario World!"

Patiently waiting for the start of the event.
So there it is. As soon as I had the school year calendar, I already took a mental note that Cedie and Nala might be dressed up as Mario and the Mushroom come Trick or Treat.

Of course, Kuya Cedie would be the main character since this is his school term, with his little sister being the plus one. Daddy thought Nala would be the Princess that Mario saves at the end of the game. But as far as I know, she's not the princess-y type and she doesn't need saving. The Mushroom may be small, but it's one of the most important parts of the game. Getting the mushroom makes Mario a Super Mario. 😉

Sharing a few snaps from the 2026 Trick or Treat at the Allen NCDC. The days are long but the years are short. Soon I will be looking back on these with a little ache in mi corazon. 😿

This Trick or Treat was done in participation with the government offices near the Allen NCDC. First stop....

Line up, everybody!

Of course they also dropped by the police station. 👮

Say cheese!!!
I grabbed this image from the Allen Youth and Sports Development Office Facebook page. My cute babies!

At the end of the day, it was obvious that they were very tired but they were pleased with the outcome. So many sweets to eat and unwrap. I even had to hide some and save for tomorrow. As parents, were just here to guide them, help them, and force them to brush their teeth. Hahaha. Here's a little Reel that I shared on Instagram.

Happy Halloween!

XO,
Mommie Cass
