My December 2014 and Hello 2015!

..Alas! The holidays are over. I still have a hangover though from that very yummy and moist chocolate cake. Hmm. But enough of the food. There were other more fun things that happened this month! But on a blow by blow account, it started pretty off with the threat of Typhoon Ruby looming on the first week. At least Supertyphoon Yolanda has taught us so many things in the past and now we know that there is no such things as being over-prepared. :) Here's a rundown of the things that happened before I said hello to 2015.

Best Tree Ever!
My brother always gives a fuss about the tree. And this one in my humble opinion is his best-put decoration yet. Four point nine stars out of 5 because there is always room for improvement. ;)

No Town Fiesta Celebration but Celestine's Birthday was pretty festive indeed!
Like I said, the onslaught of Typhoon Ruby pretty much changed our family's plan for the December 8 Town Fiesta.  Five days later, on December 13 we celebrated Celestine's 3rd Birthday. It was also actually my nth birthday, but it isn't my spotlight anymore. Shine baby shine!

Christmas Parties!
On December 23rd, Celestine was invited to the Children's Christmas Party at my father's office. It was the first time for her to interact with so many kids. As a mother, you want her to enjoy and play and mingle. But the truth is, she was still a baby compared to the other kids there so she was pretty much clueless about what to do. Well, were on our way there baby, but this is a good start! :)

But it wasn't just my baby who had to attend a Christmas Party; I also had one with my high school batch mates! Ten years after graduating and you realize some things never change. Honey, life is just a classroom.;)
I was thrilled to see my best girl friend after I don't know how long. Even for just a brief moment you are able to recall all the memories you shared. Photo credits to Neil Orven Tan and Aidaliza Agrava. Click their names for their Facebook Accounts.

Check out the ingenuity in this: couldn't find a candle that said 10 so they bought 2 pieces of 5's. Clap clap. Mana Oughty would be very proud.

Christmas Day!
It's all about family and staying at home, because the rainy weather wouldn't permit for other outdoorsy activities anyway. So there. My baby is 3 now and she gets the hang of this whole pasko thing and she's happy that Santa gave her lots of gifts. And she's happy to be able to share too because she helped in giving away some candies.

The elf  and the reindeer. Woo hoo!

Seniang. :(
Before the year ended, Mother Nature reminded us of her fury again. When it rained day in and day out. Before long, towns were flooded and it's heartbreaking again that these are the same towns that were destroyed by Yolanda. Here's a link to my brother's Facebook Video about the flooded areas in Palo and Tanauan. Click Here.

New Year's Eve!
Despite everything, it was nice to be able to welcome the New Year with those who matter most: my family.

...And here we are. My baby is all grown. Her mommy and daddy are getting chubbier. :) My younger brother is getting taller and my younger sister keeps insisting that she's prettier than me. Life is good! Let's make it better this 2015!. Happy New Year! :)

XO,
Cassie Bells
