Packaging, Labels & Other Details
I only have the mini/travel sized one and as you can see it comes in this squarish hot pink compact with a heart on top, along with the all familiar cursive of the brand's name. Embossed on top of the blush itself are Too Faced's initials. You know for a while, I didn't want to touch the blush because I didn't want to ruin the design. 😜 Anyways, I love the packaging because it doesn't take up much space in my makeup bag. The full-sized version comes in a cute heart-shaped compact that corresponds to the color of the blush  itself.

Swatch
When I first came face to face with this blush and I saw the color on the pan, I thought "Oh no! It looks so shocking!". I am not a blush-on person I thought that maybe it's too much for me because it looked like a light hot pink. Upon swatching though, it looks lighter and comes out as a cool-toned pink. I had to check out Wiki for Shades of Pink so that I can find a name for this color and it seems that it comes close to lavender pink or lace pink. Needless to say, it is a cool-toned light pink.

I think this shade is limited edition since I don't see it on the regular lineup of shades at the Too Faced website.

In Action
I love how subtle it is. See? It looks like I am just flushing over something kilig.
And here's a collage of me, wearing the Too Faced Love Flush Long Lasting 16-Hour Blush in So Happy Together, taken under different lighting.

My Take
Like I said earlier, I'm not a blush-on person. If there's a step in my makeup routine that I can skip, this would be it. Maybe it's because I don't have the time anymore, especially when I'm already at the office. Usually after putting on my lipstick I would feel that I already look presentable so I just move on to doing my work. But when I have the luxury of time, and I am feeling extra un-lazy,  I would take time to apply a blush on. That would probably be the reason why even if I've had this blush since last year, and it only contains a few grams of product, I haven't panned it yet. That would also be the reason why I don't buy blushes that much, or if I would, I would only purchase a small one.
Now, enough chit-chat and move on to my thoughts about this product.

At my age and level of addiction to makeup, would you believe that I'm still not sure if what color of blush really looks best on me? Yep, I'm still experimenting. And I would admit that I was buying blindly when I purchased this shade. 😛 Thankfully, it's a decision that I don't regret. This light pink blush can really enhance my look and it never looks too much on me, even if it looks like a shocking hot pink on the pan. A single layer of this would be barely noticeable so I put on at least 2 to 3 layers of it. I love how it applies smoothly on my skin, it doesn't feel chalky or powdery. Girl with light to medium skin tone would look great on this blush but I also think that this would work as a highlighter on olive-skinned/darker skinned girls. Think Ariana Grande and a pink highlighter.

It says that it is a long lasting 16-Hour blush but unfortunately I wouldn't wear makeup that long just to prove this claim. It's more like a 5 to 6 hours thing for me. By the time I hit that mark, this blush really looks like a natural flush on me.

I love applying this product using the Mineral Powder Brush from my ECOTOOLS 5 Piece Mineral Set because it really fits the dimension of my cheeks.

Too Faced Love Flush Long Lasting 16-Hour Blush in So Happy Together Rating

Packaging: 4.5/5
Performance: 4/5
Quality: 4.5/5
User Friendliness: 4/5
Overall: 4/5

As a parting thought, I'm really itching to try (buy) a blush in a rosy-pink shade but I'm not doing so until I use this all up. It shouldn't be too hard since this is only 2 grams of product and love the shade. LOL. Hope I see the pan by the middle of the year.

Hi! Today I'm going to share a quick review about the ABBAMART Belleme Shy Smile Blusher. I'm not that much of a blush-on gal but there are days when I look pale and a pop of color could really make a huge difference. Here's my current go-to blusher. Let's get the ball rolling! Review is after the jump!

ABBAMART Belleme Shy Smile Blusher

Size: 8g
Price: Marked Php 400.00 but slashed down to Php 260.00

Here's the list of ingredients. Of course, there are a bunch of things that we can't read here. LOL. Made in Korea, too!
My Take
Packaging
The box that came with this blusher made me smile on first sight. Why, it reminded me so much of my own daughter's drawings. It even has a big BLUSHER word on top, just in case you forgot what this makeup is for. I couldn't help but smile too, when I saw the blusher itself, since there's a smiley underneath the BELLEME print. Belle means beautiful, ayt?! So BELLEME = Beautiful Me. This blush on is so cheeky. Pun intended.

When I saw this on the Althea site, I thought that the packaging is just so similar with the ones sold locally. What surprised me was that the plastic packaging of this blusher didn't feel so flimsy at all! You are probably familiar with local products that feel like they could break if you aren't careful when opening. You've probably experienced owning products that have containers getting damaged even before consuming the product itself. This one's a notch above them; the plastic container is of good material.

First Impressions
There are no ugly or overwhelming scent emanating from this product, that's another plus! The first thing that you'll notice upon looking at the pan is that it really is true to its shade name: it is rosy and it has golden flecks or glitters. The glitters could be a cause for concern - they look chunky on the pan, as you can see in the photo above.

I have made a concentrated swatch on my arm and they are. Both of the photos were shot under artificial light. You can definitely spot the glitters, ayt?

Road Testing
Of course, the best way to find out if the product will look good on you is to actually test it. I have no qualms about the texture of the powder. It feels silky smooth on the face. And voila! This is me wearing it.

Just a comparison of my bare face and my lightly made up face. Of course you can see how the Belleme Shy Smile Blusher in Rose Gold livened up my face. ;)
Cool, ayt? How the blush on gave dimension to my face. Not to mention, it made me look prettily blushing. Here's another photo of me wearing the blush on. It looks pinkish in other photos and a bit peachy on others. But same same, it gives a certain glow to the face. For this one, I figured that red lipstick already made a statement so the cheeks had to look subdued so I applied the blush on with a light hand. You can barely see the glitters, right?

Just a subtle flush of color on the face. Sorry about the baggies tho. (^_^)
Of course, since I live in a tropical country and it is constantly sweltering hot, I had no expectations about this one lasting all day on my face. So, I have an 8:00 am, and by mid-day I would do a touch-up. But there's still a tinge of peach even if I don't touch-up.

***
Whenever I Google "Best Blush On", NARS Orgasm would always be the top search. Beauty junkies would describe it as the perfect peach-pink color, with just the right amount of glitter that it makes you look glowing from within. The Orgasm sadly, is expensive at nearly Php 2,000.00 a pop. Even if I had the money, I am not going to splurge that much. So when I shopped for a blusher at Althea, I just looked for something similar based on other girls' description of the color. Now, I cannot say for certain if this is anywhere near the Orgasm in color or in texture. But I am happily blushing while wearing this, looking pretty even. Nay! I think I am glowing from within. Haha! I am definitely happy about this purchase.

If there is a makeup regimen that I love skipping or forgetting, it would be putting on a blush, for the following reasons:
1. I don't think it's necessary.
2. I associate it with looking like a clown.
3. I was never really good at putting it, hence reason no. 2.

However, for a change, against my better judgement, I wanted an update on my everyday look and so I picked this Human Nature Perfect Glow Mineral Blush in Pink Bloom, hoping I would somehow look "glowing" and "blooming". :)

Product Name: Human Nature Perfect Glow Mineral Blush in Pink Bloom
Where I Got It: Human Nature Online Site
Price:  Php 280.25 for 4.3g (with Dealer Discount)

VERDICT
After all of my past inhibitions with blushes, I've changed my mind and this may be the only blushers I would ever need in my life. Lucky me because the shade matches me pretty well and with a very light hand, I am able to achieve a natural looking flush that lasts all day. It feels very light on  my skin and didn't cause me any breakout. I always prefer the natural look and I have found my perfect match in this blush.

INGREDIENTS + BACK LABEL
Human Nature boasts of using only natural ingredients in making it's products so everything is well indicated in this label. No chemical preservatives, no parabens, mineral oil, artificial dyes or other toxic substances.

PACKAGING, ETC.
It comes in a sleek black plastic packaging that includes a mirror and a brush. Even if the brush isn't of the finest quality (too thin and sheds a lot), I still use it for quick touch-ups. However,  I find that the best brush companion for this would be the kabuki brush from the ECOTOOLS 5 Piece Mineral Set.

Here with the ECOTOOLS kabuki brush.

SWATCH+PERFORMANCE
That would be a concentrated swatch and see how lovely the color looks. Just the right amount of pink in matte consistency, and no shimmers because that's how I prefer it. It stays on up to 5 hours, even in this sweltering heat, yes! And after that there's still a hint of pink that lingers.

TO CAP THINGS...
I am only too happy say that I've found my blushing match with the Human Nature Perfect Glow Mineral Blush in Pink Bloom. Glowing and blooming achieved!!

What "Hard Candy" says...
"A highly pigmented multi-color powder compact that will surely bring out your inner foxy lady. Each box contains coordinated shades that blend together perfectly and a custom Hard Candy applicator brush. Sweep across chin, cheeks, forehead and unleash the foxiness in you!"

"Swirl shades together for a perfect finish."

My Take

Packaging
Hard Candy can go by another name: eye candy! The packaging of this blusher is so cute it got me sold on first sight. The design is colorful, youthful and eye-catching. It's a square box about 2 x 2 x 1.5 inches in size. The material is made of cardboard and it closes with a magnetic lid. The design may be cute and travel-handy but you should be careful when putting this in your purse because the lid has a tendency to not close well enough and the next thing you know, the insides of your bag will be blushing. And if you are quiet rough, you could break the little cardboard box.

  • The brush included may be cute too but it sheds and you could do so much better with a proper brush.
  • Scent: It smells a bit like chemicals but it swiftly goes away once you apply it.
  • Color: Upon looking at it, I thought the color might be too loud and inappropriate for daily use.
The Test

You may notice from the photo above that it is powdery and therefore subject to color fall-outs. Take note also that it is pigmented so you definitely need a light hand in applying this otherwise you could end up looking like a ripe red tomato which isn't a good thing if that's not the look you're trying to achieve. I also noticed that the color brightens up more about a minute or two after application so  you better take it easy because you might be trying to build-up the color because it comes out sheer at first and end up putting to much product in the end.

The colors in the top row from left to right are peach and brown and on the bottom row are two pinks, a light and a dark. They all contain shimmers but when you swirl and blend them all together you will get a warm glow with light yet visible sheen.

Wear time can last up to 5 hrs.

For your guidance, here are the swatches I took with my camera with flash.

Swatches from l to R: Peach, Light Pink, Dark Pink and Brown
Overall Recap
What I love:
  1. Cuteness overload. The box is a conversation starter during touch-up times.
  2. Gives me the right amount of warm glow.
  3. Versatility. You can use the colors on their own or you can mix them all together.
  4. Didn't cause me any breakouts.
  5. Affordable and could take me a long time to consume.
I would've loved it if:
  1. The slight chemical scent would be gone.
  2. The box were sturdier.
  3. The blush brush included didn't shed much.
  4. It would be much less powdery.
Rating : 3.5/5

Overall, I love this little product. If you want something really cute, affordable and gives a shimmering glow, I'm sure you would love it too. Sure there are some drawbacks but for the price I think you can forgo the tiny issues.

For one thing, check out the ingredients first. If you are sensitive to some of its components like mineral oil then that's a bummer.

Personally though, I'm at a stage where I'm experimenting and practicing with makeup application and eventually in the future  I hope to replace these 'drugstore' brands with better quality ones. I'm having fun with this product at the moment and when I'm better at makeups, who's to stop me getting a Nars Orgasm? ;)
