I'm a mom to a four-year old and scratches on the knees and on the elbows are a common sight. My daughter is kinda scared of Betadine though so I figured that if it isn't that huge of a cut or wound, I could resort to the Rescue Balm. True enough she loves it because it doesn't sting and it smells clean and fresh.

The Soothing Balm is one product from Human Nature that I will really swear by. Just last night I had a huge bout with migraine and I forgot to buy medicine for pain. As it was already night time, I knew that I would be going through an agony overnight, while trying to sleep. And then I remembered that I actually had the Soothing Balm in my bag. So I took it out and sniffed it and whether you believe it or not, the pain just went away. I don't know if which of its ingredients seem to numb the pain but it is true. And when I stopped sniffing it, the pain came back, so I applied it on my nose and on my temples. And that's how I slept through a migraine.

Take a peak y'all.
This is me saying 'Thank you!' to Human Nature (again!) for making such wonderful products which no matter how small could spell a huge difference in our lives. Migraine is a huge issue for me and I'm thankful that I don't have to rely on pain medication alone  to eradicate it.

If anything, I wish they would start making bigger versions of these stuff because I really love 'em.

Mummy Cass
*All photos and synopsis are from IMDB*
That would be an one adult and one toddler tearing up over one Disney/Pixar film. I doubt it if we had the same reasons for crying but one thing would be true: this movie struck a chord in our hearts. But even if we cried, we shared a lot a laughs over this movie too. Chit chat after the jump.

Synopsis
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley's mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

Meet Joy and Sadness
It is a heartwarming film; very relatable for someone like me who has my own family and has a little girl for a kid. I've run through several reviews at IMDB and I must say that this movie has gained mixed opinions. I will disregard the goofs and the loopholes and go straight to the moral lessons for me, as a parent.

To Be More Patient
That kid in the movie, Riley, isn't my daughter. But somehow, I was able to look at a different perspective about how a kid's mind works. Four years of being a mother and I know I'm not yet  a pro at it. This movie made me realize that I have a long way to go. Kids, they feel sad, they doubt themselves a lot, along with other emotions and it is important to listen, to look at the signs of what could be troubling them, and through it all, just be there for them.

Keep An Open Line of Communication
There will come a time when they changes occur around them and they will be too shy or too guarded to express themselves. I would like to avoid that in the future as a mother so I make sure that as she ages I will let her know that I am here to listen. Being open would be a great way to help my kid and let her know that I will always be there for her.
Disgust and Fear
It's Okay To Be Sad
I've acknowledged this fact a long time ago. When I am sad there's no point in trying to cheer myself up. But instead of wallowing, I use the sadness as an inspiration to try and be more creative.

In this movie, even if Riley was already aware that there was to much change going on around her, she was trying to hold herself together and trying to be cheerful until she couldn't hang on anymore and she was almost self-destructive. Sadness made her miss her family and in the end, she ran back to them and confessed how much she needed them. See, a normal person needs to have balance of all emotions. She be sad if she is sad. For a kid, it's important that she gets the help that she needs before it's too late.
Anger
...And looking back. :)
This movie made me miss my childhood too. I thought of my own 'rents back then and how they made ends meet while making sure that we grew up well disciplined. Bottom line is, family-oriented peeps would surely be touched by this film.  And hence I cried.

And by the way, I did say that Celestine cried too, while watching this movie and this big pink guy here, who looks like a morph between an elephant, a bunny and I dunno, something else (maybe a cotton candy?) was the reason. His name is Bing Bong and he is the imaginary friend of Riley when she was young. He made an appearance in the movie while Joy and Sadness were trying to find their way back to the Headquarters. Tin cried when Bing Bong made a huge sacrifice to help Joy go back to  the Headquarters and in exchange he faded into oblivion. It's good to be able to know that Tin already understands the stuff that she watches on TV as she was able to make that reaction. Very soon she'll be a big girl, and gah, it's so mind-blogging even just to think about that. Ha ha!

But for Daddy and Me, she'll always be our little girl. :)

P.S., a Quote lifted straight from a Backstreet Boys song

"Sadness is beautiful. Loneliness is tragical."

...Not in person though, but on TV (sheeesh!) and these are my side comments about it. But first, I know you're thinking that this post is late (again) since this event happened last November 2015. As usual, Eastern Visayas was hit by another strong typhoon (Nona) at the end of the year, and so goodbye electricity, goodbye internet connection. Goodbye sparkly, shiny, and beautiful little things. Anyway, at least I got the chance to see this, no matter how late. Now on to them comments.. (^_^)

1. New Angels. Lots of new girls, I've been mistaking one blonde for another or one brunette for another and well, to set things clearly, here are the photos of the bespoken Angels who keep confusing me.
Elsa Hosk, Kate Grigorieva, Stella Maxwell, Jac Jagaciak, Romee Strijd, Taylor Hill and Sara Sampaio
Note though that this isn't the first time that they walked the VSFS runway but rather just the first time for most of them to be credited as Angels.

2. The Veterans. They're still doing it. And thankfully. Watching a VS Fashion Show and not seeing a single familiar face is like walking into a new classroom and feeling totally empty and clueless. Here's some of them to name a few.
Constance Jablonski and Lais Ribeiro
Izabel Goulart and Lily Donaldson
Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio
3. Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. They are BFFs. Kendall is a half-sister of the Kardashians (but you knew that already, didn't you?). Gigi is David Foster's step-daughter and she also dates Zayn Malik.  Some say that they are not even legit models and are just cashing in on the popularity of their families or that they just built their careers off on uploading photos on Instagram. I've never seen them walk the runway prior to this but I can see that they know how to SLAY it. And Gigi's cheeks just won me over. 'Nuff said.
Kendall Jenner
Gigi Hadid
4. The Fantasy Bra that failed to amuse me. Yes it's sparkly, it isn't dubbed as the Fireworks Fantasy Bra for nothing. But I don't know. It could have been because Lily's hair covered a whole lot of it...
Lily Aldridge
...or it might have been because Cindy Bruna was wearing this wonderful sparkly body suit that caught my attention instead.
Cindy Bruna
But anyway, as long as Mr. Followill is satisfied, we don't have much to complain about, do we?
Lily's hubby, Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill
5. Thanks to The Weeknd. I couldn't stop singing Can't Feel My Face for several days. But I love it. But I love it. :)

6. Here's a confirmation that that wing is so heavy. Haha.
Lais Ribeiro
7. Here's what to do when you feel so nervous. Screeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam like it's nobody's business!!!
Rachel Hilbert
8. Bad ass chicks and ugly ducklings. VS never fails to remind us that these girls didn't just simply win the gene lottery but that they work hard, too.
Jasmine Tookes works it with the bag.
Who would even believe that Candice Swanepoel would turn out to be an Angel with her tomboyish background.
9. Favorite wing. Joan Smalls' during the Fireworks Segment. Girl looks like she's on fire. That thing on her back goes round and round it looks like it's going to propel her somewhere. Hot.

10. I look forward to seeing these girls next year. Sara Sampaio with her pouty lips which almost reminds me of Doutzen Kroes'. Taylor Hill with her grey-blue eyes. Bad-ass chick Jasmine Tookes too, together with Lily, Behati and Candice. I'm curious if Gigi and Kendall will be making the cut as Angels on 2016's VSFS.
Twinning huh. Sara Sampaio and Taylor Hill
Jasmine Tookes
Behati Prinsloo, Lily Aldridge and Candice Swanepoel
Till the next Show! ;)

Carissa
