There's a certain excitement that comes with getting new things. And if you get a new office building, it's triple the excitement. Although this building's not personally mine, it still feels like getting a new home because, obviously coming to work five days a week for 52 weeks means plenty of days in a year. Plus, it's great that we will be able to serve the public better with this new office.
On May 12th, the new Allen Municipal Police Station was inaugurated. And...obviously we were overjoyed because the last station that we had was in a dismal state already. We're giving credit where it's due: the PNP of course, and the Local Government Unit of Allen, headed by Mayor Laureana D. Suan and also the former mayor, Rod Laurean D. Suan, since the conceptualization of this project happened way back his term.
So, Allenians and the general public, the new Allen Municipal Police Station is now open to serve you. It's located near the Allen Transport Terminal at Brgy. Sabang 2, Allen, Northern Samar. The site is being developed btw. The Bureau of Fire Protection has also recently transferred, on the lot next to ours. A Regional Evacuation Center is also set to rise on the area soon.

I have here some snapshots while we were preparing for the blessing and the ribbon cutting.
For security reasons, I won't post images of the rooms. ;) I'll just leave you with some snaps of US, at the reception area.
Welcome to the New Allen Municipal Police Station!
We're gearing up for the event!
All brimming with excitement about the move-in.
And that would be me, tongue-tied after hanging the lei on the Regional Director himself. I'd have requested for a photo-op but like I said...
Arrival of PRO8 Regional Director PCSUPT Elmer Cruz Beltejar.
After the ribbon cutting and the blessing we all headed up to the top floor where a program was held. The ceremonial turn-over of the key was the highlight. Almost as important as the luncheon. LOL. Kidding here.
That is one big key.

Also present was my little baby.

She's just as excited as I am.
It certainly took a few days of adjustment but right now, a month into the transition, we're definitely settled in. Here's to better days at the PNP, in this new home of ours. And yeah, may the force be with us. :)
