The world isn't perfect, right? Things don't always sail smoothly. So what do you do when you had a bad day? Do you sing a sad song just to turn it around? :) Do you chop woods with an ax to let go of your anger? Do you clean fishes (guts, blood and all) just to distract yourself? Well, you can do all of that for all we care. But you can't deny the fact that you also need a good laugh and movies are almost always the best source of it. So, for those days that you just feel mehh, try grabbing a bowl of popcorn and and towing around your bestfriend. Bring in the pillows, draw the curtains and just press PLAY. :)
My list of happy movies.
My list of happy movies.
50 First Dates
Probably the only chick flick that I could convince my partner to watch from beginning to end credits without falling asleep in between. The movie poster says it all. "Imagine having to win over the girl of your dreams..every friggin' day." This movie just makes me laugh and cry at the same time. Sandler's movie Click is also very nice.
Mean Girls
This movie introduced me to the brilliance of Tina Fey's wit and for that I am really glad. The story is set in high school and it has all the familiar ingredients: first day of school, classmates that convince you cut classes, teachers, crushes and the clique of girl friends. But how much are you willing to change just to fit in?
Easy A
Of course we love Emma Stone when she's side by side with the amazing Andrew Garfield, erm Spiderman but here she also shows her great comic timing.
Legally Blonde & Legally Blonde 2 Red, White, and Blonde
They say that blondes have more fun. But don't be quick to count them all as shallow. A great person is a combination of beauty, smarts, bubbliness and a good heart. And that's how Elle Woods shines.
Miss Congeniality and Miss Congeniality 2 Armed and Fabulous
Now here's the smart beauty who can kick some ass! And Oh! The transformation! I'm a Sandra Bullock fan through and through.
The Princess Diaries and The Princess Diaries 2 Royal Engagement
As young girls we dream of becoming princesses and it's good to see a movie where the dream becomes a reality for an ordinary girl. Even if it's borderline silly with the royalty stuff being over the top but still.... :) Amanda Bynes' What A Girl Wants is also a constant favorite.
The Proposal
...With Ryan Reynolds being one of the main attractions. :)
Pitch Perfect
I've probably seen this a gazillion times and I never tire. And I still laugh sooo hard like all the time. At first I thought it would be just another Glee copycat but nope. It isn't.
Love Actually
Yes! This is the movie where random people's lives are shown and you never realize until the end that they are all inter-connected. I always end up crying while watching this though. Love Actually has other sister movies, New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day which are set on their namesakes, Love Actually being set on Christmas.
13 Going On 30
When you are young so are always so eager to grow up. So what do you do when you suddenly wake up and you are 30? This movie teaches us to make the best of it and to set things right. Zac Efron's 17 Again is also nice, being reverse.

So have you seen any of these movies guys? What are your thoughts?
And please please please let me know if you have other movie suggestions.:)
Till next time.
Au revoir! XO,
Carissa :)
